As you say, this is a really nice model. In fact, it doesn´t represent the original Jota, an unique model which was destructed in an accident (the model is available from Minichamps). It represents the SVR Jota, a limited edition Miura SV with a similar looking from the original Jota. The Kyosho model is a replica from the original car owned by Hubert Hahn, the Lamborghini dealer from Germany. the only shame is that Kyosho doesn´t introduce new Lamborghini /Ferrari models in 1/43.
You are rigth. In all aspects, but... take a look at the old cars from Kyosho. If you want modern models you can always get a Hot Wheels Elite. I am not sure how, but Kyosho and Hot Whells are connected. And the have similar quality at, mostly, good price.
